To conserve marine lives and bring awareness about plastic, Bharat Bhangera started the Clean Kundapura Project. Bhangera with his team of volunteers does a cleanliness drive on the beaches and riverbank of Kundapura (a town in Karnataka) every Sunday.
His team of 30 to 35 volunteers cover 100-200 meters of the riverbank every week. Not only this, but they likewise build awareness among communities living near Kundapura, they inform people how plastic is tearing our ecosystem. The clean Kundapura project so far has done over 65 cleanliness drives. In every two hour drives, they remove 500 to 600 kg of waste. To know more read the full story here
